Peanuts in your cold drink

Does anyone remember putting peanuts in their Coke,or Big Orange Drink.I can remember going down to the filling station on the corner,getting a Double Cola and a pack of Tom's peanuts.You poured the peanuts in the drink and had at it.

I have heard of that, but I've never tried it before. I'll have to see what that's like. Welcome to Chattablogs!

I have definitely heard of it. That was our lunch in the late 50's while in school.

A trip to the gas station...two packs of Tom's peanuts and either of bottled coke or a "Palm" strawberry soda. "Tom's" produces a special small peanut that works best in the drink.

I officially named it a "Georgia Sandwich". It kinda stuck down in South Florida.

I remember doing that and also that the coke cost about 10 cents. Those were the good days. You didn't have to George Washington to make your dollar go futher. I can remember going to the moives on Saturday--getting in and popcorn drink and candy and still have change left out of a dollar.
